George Michael is a British singer-songwriter and music producer born on 25 June 1963 in East Finchley.
Bang! he quickly achieved international success with the songs Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, Freedom, Everything She Wants and Last Christmas. But George Michael increasingly participated in solo projects and released two singles under his own name: Careless Whisper, co-written with Andrew Ridgeley, and A Different Corner. In 1986, after a farewell concert at Wembley Stadium, Wham! separated.
With the album Faith, he quickly became an international star. Influenced by Prince's dance and rock music, the singles I Want Your Sex, Faith, Father Figure, One More Try and Monkey reached the top of the charts. The album Faith also won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1988.

In the 90s, George Michael wanted to distance himself from his success and fame. He does not do any promotion for his new album Listen Without Prejudice, Vol 1 and does not appear in the music videos for his singles Praying for Time and Freedom! '90. . Illness and death haunt George Michael during this period. In 1993, his partner Anselmo Feleppa died of AIDS and three years later, the singer dedicated the album Older to him.

While working on a new album, he was found dead on December 25, 2016 at his home in Goring-on-Thames, a village in the county of Oxfordshire.

During his career, George Michael sold approximately 100 million records. He has won two Grammy Awards, six Ivor Novello Awards, three American Music Awards and three Brit Awards.
